Collection Wristmons

Konstantin Chaykin looks at haute horlogerie from a different, non-standard point of view, reinventing watches as cinematic works of art.

He dares to surprise by creating a whole new level of watch movements, ever-changing, spectacular and provocative.

1. For the “Joker” wristwatch and other pieces in the “Wristmons” collection, Konstantin Chaykin invented a spectacular regulator dial with separate hour- and minute-indicator discs, along with the Joker’s now-signature smiling moonphase indicator.
2. The bezel is decorated with symbols or inscriptions in relief, different for each model. The bezel of the “Joker”, for example, is engraved with the magical “five of a kind” poker hand, the highest hand possible in a game played with a joker.
3. The dial of a classic wristwatch is truly expressive only a few times a day. A “Wristmons” dial has no standard hour- and minute-hands – the eyes and moon-like smile, constantly rotating, mean the watch is always incredibly emotive and unpredictable.
4. The human eye can easily identify over 20,000 different grimaces and facial expressions portrayed on the dial of the “Joker” and other “Wristmons” – at 03:42 on the night of a full moon, it has a philosophically pensive expression, while in the first quarter of the moon at 15:48 it is playfully cunning.
